Garlic Parmesan Chicken Tortellini (Printable Version)

Cheese tortellini and chicken in a garlic parmesan sauce, ready in 30 minutes for a quick and satisfying Italian dinner.

# Ingredients:

01 - 340g cheese tortellini
02 - 2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
03 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
04 - 4 garlic cloves, minced
05 - 240ml heavy cream
06 - 120ml chicken broth
07 - 100g freshly grated Parmesan cheese
08 - 200g broccoli florets
09 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
10 - Fresh parsley for garnish
11 - Salt and pepper to taste

# Steps:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook tortellini according to package instructions (fresh takes 3-5 minutes, frozen 8-10 minutes). Drain when finished.
02 - Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant. Add heavy cream and chicken broth, bringing to a gentle simmer for 2-3 minutes.
04 - Gradually stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce is smooth. Return cooked chicken to the skillet, then add broccoli florets and drained tortellini. Toss everything until evenly coated with sauce. Season with Italian herbs and additional salt and pepper if needed.
05 - Transfer to serving plates, garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - Don't overcrowd the pan when cooking chicken for optimal browning
02 - Reserve some pasta water to adjust sauce thickness if needed
03 - Consider steaming broccoli briefly before adding to maintain vibrant color
