02 - 1 tsp baking powder
03 - ¼ tsp salt
04 - 115 g unsalted butter, softened
05 - 100 g granulated sugar
06 - 55 g packed brown sugar
07 - 1 large egg
08 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
09 - 60 ml milk

→ Pink Frosting

10 - 120 g powdered sugar
11 - 30 g unsalted butter, softened
12 - 30 ml milk
13 - ¼ tsp vanilla extract
14 - Pink food coloring (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 175°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until evenly blended.
03 - In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with the granulated and brown sugars until light and creamy.
04 - Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
05 - Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk, mixing just until a cohesive dough forms.
06 - Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 5 cm apart.
07 - Gently flatten each dough ball with the back of a spoon to create a rounded, donut-like disc.
08 - Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges turn lightly golden.
09 - Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
10 - In a bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, softened butter, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
11 - Add pink food coloring if desired and mix until the color is evenly distributed.
12 - Once fully cooled, spread a generous layer of pink frosting over the top of each cookie.

# Notes:

01 - Ensure the cookies are completely cooled before frosting to prevent the icing from melting and sliding off.
02 - For a classic donut look, add colorful sprinkles over the frosting while it is still soft.
