Columbia's 1905 Salad (Printable Version)

Iconic Spanish-Cuban salad with ham, Swiss cheese, and olives in a tangy garlic-lemon dressing. Ready in just 20 minutes!

# Ingredients:

→ Dressing

01 - 1/2 cup olive oil
02 - 2 tablespoons lemon juice
03 - 1-2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
04 - 1-2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
05 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
07 - Salt and pepper to taste

→ Salad

08 - 1 head iceberg lettuce, shredded
09 - 225g ham slices, julienned
10 - 150g Swiss cheese slices, julienned
11 - 285g cherry tomatoes, halved
12 - 140g green olives, sliced
13 - 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
14 - 140g croutons
15 - 55g Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, grated

# Steps:

01 - Whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, white wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt and pepper at the bottom of a large salad bowl. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
02 - Add shredded iceberg lettuce, julienned ham and Swiss cheese, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced green olives, and thinly sliced red onion to the bowl with the dressing.
03 - Add croutons, toss thoroughly to coat all ingredients with dressing. Top with freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano and freshly ground black pepper before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Omit croutons to make this recipe keto-friendly and low carb.
