# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - ½ cup popcorn kernels (yields about 10 cups popped)

→ Candy Coating

02 - 1 cup granulated sugar
03 - ½ cup water
04 - ¼ cup light corn syrup
05 - ½ teaspoon salt
06 - ½ teaspoon baking soda

→ Coloring

07 - Gel food coloring in multiple colors

# Steps:

01 - Pop kernels using your preferred method. Remove any unpopped kernels and place the popped corn in a large bowl.
02 - Combine sugar, water, corn syrup, and salt in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves completely and the mixture comes to a boil.
03 - Divide the syrup into separate bowls and add different gel food coloring to each portion, stirring to incorporate fully.
04 - Working with one color at a time, pour colored syrup over the popcorn and stir quickly to coat evenly before the syrup hardens.
05 - Spread the coated popcorn on silicone mats or parchment-lined baking sheets to cool and harden completely.
06 - Once completely cooled and hardened, break the popcorn into bite-sized pieces and serve.
