Chocolate Chip Banana Bread (Printable Version)

01 - 4-5 ripe bananas
02 - 8 tablespoons (1 stick) softened butter
03 - 2 tablespoons milk
04 - 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
05 - 2 cups gluten free flour (Bob's Red Mill 1 to 1 baking flour)
06 - 2 eggs
07 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
08 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
09 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
10 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar

11 - 1/2 cup chocolate chips
12 - 1/4 cup shaved chocolate

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - Butter or grease a standard loaf pan.
03 - In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten free flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
04 - In a medium bowl, thoroughly mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
05 - In another medium bowl, cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract, eggs, milk, and mashed bananas, mixing until well combined.
06 - Add the wet ingredients to the bowl with the flour mixture and stir until just combined.
07 - Gently fold in the chocolate chips or shaved chocolate if using.
08 - Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading evenly.
09 - Bake in preheated oven for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
10 - Allow banana bread to cool in the pan for 20 minutes before removing and serving.

01 - This banana bread is best when made with very ripe bananas that have brown spots on the skin.
