→ Finishing

13 - 10 cups water
14 - 2/3 cup baking soda
15 - 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
16 - Coarse sea salt (for sprinkling)

# Steps:

01 - In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until browned. Drain excess fat.
02 - Stir in ketchup, mustard, and pickle relish. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
03 - Let the mixture cool slightly, then mix in shredded cheddar cheese.
04 - In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
05 - Add flour, salt, and melted butter to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
06 - Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
07 - Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
08 - Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 16 equal pieces.
09 - Flatten each piece of dough into a small circle. Place about 1 tablespoon of the beef mixture in the center of each circle.
10 - Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch to seal. Roll into a ball and place on the prepared baking sheet.
11 - In a large pot, bring water and baking soda to a boil.
12 - Carefully drop each pretzel bomb into the boiling water for 30 seconds, then remove with a slotted spoon and return to the baking sheet.
13 - Brush each pretzel bomb with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
