Bacon Jalapeño Twists (Printable Version)

Flaky pizza dough twists loaded with cream cheese, bacon, jalapeños, and cheese, finished with savory garlic butter.

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 2 tubes (13.8 oz each) refrigerated pizza dough

→ Filling

02 - 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
03 - 4 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
04 - 1 small red onion, finely diced
05 - 1 medium jalapeño pepper, seeded and diced
06 - 2 teaspoons fresh chives, minced
07 - 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
08 - 2 cups (226g) white cheddar cheese, shredded

→ Topping

09 - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
10 - 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
11 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - Stack and press pizza dough sheets together. Cut into 4 equal sections and roll each to approximately 8x10 inches.
03 - In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, crumbled bacon, diced red onion, diced jalapeño, minced chives, and minced garlic until well mixed.
04 - Spread filling evenly between dough layers, stacking all four pieces to create a layered structure.
05 - Cut the layered dough into 16 equal strips. Twist each strip and form into circular shapes on the prepared baking sheets.
06 - Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
07 - While twists are baking, melt butter in a small saucepan and add minced garlic and salt to create garlic butter.
08 - Remove twists from oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Brush with prepared garlic butter and serve while still warm.

# Notes:

01 - Stacking dough creates better structure for the twists.
02 - These are best served warm but remain delicious at room temperature.
03 - Spice level can be adjusted by adding more or less jalapeño, or substituting with milder peppers.
