Make 4-5 shallow slits in the top of each hot dog (optional for crispy edges).

Place hot dogs in a single layer in the air fryer at 200°C (400°F) for 6 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.

Brush buns with melted butter if desired.

Place cooked hot dogs in the prepared buns.

Return assembled hot dogs to air fryer for 2 minutes if wanting crispy buns.

Add favorite toppings and serve immediately.
